Traditional wood burning fireplaces can create up to 50 grams per hour of “particulate matter” (smoke, ash, and soot), prompting some localities to preclude the use of these fireplaces on “burn ban” days. Some localities are even considering a permanent ban on fireplaces of this type. Spark fireplaces are clean burning, creating no particulate matter, and as such are unaffected by burn bans.
In addition to burning clean, Spark’s Direct Vent and Vent Free units are quite good at retaining heat. At 80% efficiency for Direct Vent models and 95% efficiency for Vent Free models, these fireplaces actually heat rooms, reducing the need to run your furnace (which also reduces heating bills). And Spark’s Direct Vent models, when installed according to Spark Modern Fires’ instructions, earn points in a LEED certified house, while their Vent Free units, which are subject to strict national standards compare very favorably to vent free fireplaces fueled by liquids (such as denatured alcohol) for which there are no standards.

A Front completely emptied characterizes B-HOUSE, a refuge without secret where it offered viewers the landscape from the mountains of Piemonte. The house is extends horizontally with succession of spaces terminating in the kitchen, it’s a real binoculars focused on the country. The volume in overtops aggetto on the access to garage and it check the entrance to the property.
In opposite directions, the house expand to the north with the body of the rooms in atmosphere more intimate and intimate and to south with pool, a large mirror of water, reflections and light.
The plan live is an area immaculate, corrupted by the materiality of a stone wall and fossil traces of color in some furniture.
The first floor is reserved for clients and it hosts a large room, the wardrobe and bathroom.
The flat roofs are wide balconies, they create alternative to relax in the garden.
In the night rise the depths of volumes and cuts leaks highlighted by bright, contrasting light / dark.
